
Oprah's Boot Camp Diet

The Oprah diet combines a lot of ideas from elsewhere. Say yes to green veggies and lean protein, but no to refined grains and sugar. It’s yes to exercise, but no to booze (for a while) and late night snacking. Yes, join a group. Of course, this is the Oprah Boot Camp. Boot camps are in. After 12 weeks on this regimen you will show results. True, but I like to think long term. Where do you go after the boot camp? Most of the ideas here are basically sound. There are worse diets. It’s just too trendy for my taste. I have great admiration for Oprah Winfrey. I just think she’s overdone the public dieting thing, with or without her personal trainer, and I can’t consider her an expert here. Still if this sort of thing inspires you, go for it.
