    CARB EATERS MAY EAT LESS

Source: J. Am. College of Nutrition

    Summary:

  • USDA collected diet data from over 10,000 adults and divided into carb intake of less than 30% calories, 30-45%, 45-55%, and over 55% of calories
  • Those with the highest carb intake consumed fewer calories, mostly because of increased fiber and water content of high-carb foods
  • High carb eaters took in more of many vitamins and minerals and had lower body mass index

    Conclusion:
In this group, making low-fat choices paid off
