One diet provided 100% of energy requirement with 50% carb, 35%, fat, 15% protein; the other provided 175% of requirement with 71% carb, 20% fat, 9% protein
In 1st diet, carbs were either oxidized for energy or stored as glycogen with only 4% contributing to body fat; in 2d diet fat synthesis increased by 296%
Conclusion:
Carb intake doesn’t increase body fat unless you eat more than you need

This was extreme overeating but the bottom line is still that it’s the calories that determine your weight
