    Summary:

  • A study in Archives of Internal Medicine compared 50 early post-menopausal women who exercised for 26 months with 33 similar women who did not exercise
  • Exercise group improved isometric trunk strength and VO2 max as well as lipid profile
  • Bone density increased in the exercise group but declined in the non-exercise group

    Comment: Note that this study was long enough to give exercise time to work, and it did.
