Medium chain triglycerides (MCT) are sometimes thought to increase endurance performance
Endurance trained men performed time trials while consuming carbohydrate solution, carbohydrate plus MCT, or placebo
Performance was improved equally in both carbohydrate groups
Conclusion: Carbohydrate injestion during 100 km time trial improves performance over placebo but adding MCT did not cause further improvement
