    Vitamin E Affects Physical Function

    Summary:

  • Subjects age 65 and over participated in a study to determine association between serum micronutrients and physical function
  • Only association was between low vitamin E and decline in physical function
  • Strongest determinants of decline in physical function were age older than 81, and in those age 70-80, low vitamin E

    Conclusion: Low serum vitamin E concentration is associated with decline in physical function in older people
