  • All lost weight and fat, but only exercise groups reduced size of abdominal fat cells
  • There is a link between abdominal obesity and mortality from heart disease and diabetes

    Conclusion: Exercise can reduce size of fat cells and may improve health even if significant weight loss does not occur
