  • Subjects were able to cycle 40% longer with carb plus protein
  • There were no significant differences in heart rate, perceived exertion, or blood lactate levels

    Conclusion: Carb and protein improved time to fatigue but it is not clear if this was due to extra calories or specifically to protein
