  • 101 adults with chronic low back pain were assigned to 12 weeks of yoga, conventional therapeutic exercise, or a self-care book
  • Back related function, but not bothersomeness of pain, was superior in yoga to the other groups
  • At 26 weeks, function in yoga group was still superior to the book group

    Conclusion: Yoga was more effective than a self-care book for treating low back pain
