There was higher incidence of mortality and cardiovascular disease among those who could not complete the 400 meter walk
Of those who completed the test, participants in the slowest quartile, over 362 seconds, had a higher risk of death than the fastest group, less than 290 sec
Conclusion: Walking ability was associated with total mortality, CV disease, and mobility limitation
