  • Young women were trained in high intensity exercise in either the morning or afternoon for 5 weeks
  • All participants were tested in both morning and afternoon
  • Results were better when participants were tested at the same time of day as they were trained

    Comment:
    This reinforces the idea that, when preparing for a race, you should do at least some of your training at the same time that the race is scheduled
