Smart Bells

Review by Joann Bally CSCS

You generally use one Smart Bell with two hands, unlike dumbbells, which are usually one in each hand. The Smart Bell shape is designed to conform to the body. Although it looks flexible, it’s made of cast aluminum coated with PVC. The recommended routine is pretty vigorous, designed to work all the major muscle groups, but you can use it however you want. You could probably do a nice circuit workout with Smart Bells, and even adapt it to athletic training, but I don’t see it as the only piece of equipment you need. Smart Bells come in 3, 6, and 15 lb sizes. Read the material or contact the manufacturers to see what’s right for you, if you want one of these.
