Gliding discs
Review by Joann Bally CSCS

Here’s a really cheap piece of equipment you can carry in your briefcase: little 9-inch diameter discs you put your feet on and slide around. Choose hardwood or carpet versions. That’s all you need. Unless you want to buy the videos or the Glide Into Your Jeans™ diet and exercise program. These will not give you a lot of strength and muscle size, but are good for muscular endurance. You can devise a cardio program in your living room, once you get the hang of staying on your discs. Do lunges in directions you may not have considered before, and maybe pushups as well. The discs have been advertised a lot and are showing up in classes at health clubs. I’m disappointed that the web site for this product, which is supposed to be for all fitness levels, features ultra-fit looking young women. If you’re not an experienced exerciser and you want to try these, get the video.
