blood test shows Creatinine, not Creatine

Your blood test will not look for Creatine, but for Creatinine. High levels of Creatinine indicate muscle breakdown.
I have heard reports (not sure if they are even credible) that high doses of creatine have been picked up by blood tests in the Creatinine result. I suspect that this was more of a result of the increased muscle breakdown from harder training, rather than the creatine showing up in the blood as Creatinine.
I know of no sports body that bans creatine, so there is no blood test that specifically looks for it.
