I am a 175pound 18yr old male (5ft 10)who has lost about 40 pounds from intense aerobic exercize and weight lifting. Just recently it has been brought to my attention that when weightlifting 7 days a week and also doing 30mins of intense aerobic workout per day, I could be burning up to 3500 calories per day. This is where my questions lie.

I am currently still on a diet of about 1700 calories per day as I am trying to lose bodyfat. After losing 40pounds, my arms/legs have leaned and muscled up a fair bit but I still have a pretty large chest/stomach. I am wondering that if I am actually burning around the 3000 mark of calories, am I actually doing more harm than good? I dont want to do permenant damage to my metabolism or anything, and I am also concerned that I am probably losing more muscle than fat. Would eating more calories in my case be of a bigger benifit than eating a smaller amount?

-I also have been lifting weights for about 3 months. Originally I started off with some 12lb dumbbells and have now moved up to 40lb, so my strength has increased no doubt, however my general muscle mass has not. Do I need to eat a lot more calories before I gain more muscle?

I was thinking I could possibly eat a few more 'good' calories and have a protein shake or two per day and possibly ill be better off than I am now, but im not too sure. I still want to lose another 15pounds of bodyfat. Any advice would be appreciated.

Oh, and to Mike, does SNS send its goods internationally? From what ive seen, the SNS products are definately the best however im located in Australia and was just wondering if you ship out here.

Thanks in advance.
