Eating late is sure to do one thing for you; add fat. That's the primary type of weight gain you will have.
You need to eat frequently throughout the day, with each meal containing as much complex carbs as possible, as much lean protein as possible, and as little fat and sugar as possible.
Why bother with fat? It makes you feel full, is harder to digest and quickly turn into energy, and takes up space in your stomach that prevents you from being able to eat the complex carbs you need for energy and protein you need to build.
Try a low sugar weight gain product in between your regular meals. SNS makes one of the lowest sugar weight gainers on the market- Big Daddy.
