i am wondering does this mean your upper and lower abs are just fine and the middle needs improvement, because this would be next to impossible.
what you want to concentrate on is a complete ab workout, usually people worry about upper or lower since these areas take more concentration than the middle.
your traditional sit-up, mixed with upper concentration crunches and lower concentration hip raisers (or hanging knee raises) should tone your complete mid section.
