Your problem is mosts likely your food choices and meal schedule. Try breaking your existing food intake intake five smaller meals, instead of the big three you now eat.
I hope you're not skipping breakfast; if you are, make a shake or smoothie for breakfast. Eat a little snack meal between breakfast and dinner, and another between lunch and dinner. You might even have a little protein shake in the evening if you get hungry.
