One falsehood that people believe it true is that if you exercise a muscle that has fat around it, the fat will burn just around the muscle. People think if they have fat around their missection, they will burn it off by doing situps. Crunches will only help to develop the muscles around your abdomen. If you want to burn fat you need to do some aerobic exercise. I love to jog first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. I'll go out and walk fast for 20 minutes to warm up, than i'll jog at a moderate pace for as long as i can (usually anywhere from 30 to 40 minutes is my norm) than, i'll walk another 15/20 minutes to cool down. If you do that 3 or 4 times a week, you'll lose that weight fairly fast. Have a light breakfast after you work out in the morning, eat a sensible lunch, have a small midday snack like an apple or salad or something like that, eat a sensible dinner too. Eat small meals also and chew your food thoroughly so it can be digested properly.
