abdominal muscles should be stregthened and conditioned first before the "building of the six-packs" occur. There's just two remedy for this to happen: first and foremost is the %body fat, if your's is too high, do more cardio. Secondly it's all in the diet. The saying "what you eat is what you look like" is all soooo true.
