How are your exercising? Is it all aerobic activity (running, cycling, stairstep)? Incorporating resistance exercise (weights) into your routine will not only improve your appearance, it will also create active tissue that requires feeding 24 hours per day. What feeds it? Fat.
Be patient. It took you nine months to put that fat on, it will take at least that, if not more, to take it off.
If you're like most new parents, you tend to lose your eating schedule, or any schedule at all, for that matter.
You probably eat irregularly during the day and then eat a large meal in the evening. While this is socially satisfying, it is the most likely way to add fat.
If you have trouble making small meals during the day, try making little shake or smoothie drinks to drink. You can keep them in the refrigerator until the kiddo takes a nap. You can use whey protein or a meal replacment mix with juice or milk and fruit to make a good tasting meal.
