If you are looking for a short term fix, I agree that the protein diet will work. The problem with it is that it is a DIET, and diets don't work for life. If you are keying in on this summer and this summer only, try the Atkins Diet (or related protein programs). I would also consider consulting a physician before starting this type of Diet.

My suggestion for the long run is finding a life time plan for eating, not a diet. Post diet problems usually occur (I.E..more weight gained after the diet), because I will tell you, the protein diet is a difficult one to stay on for extended periods, anytime you remove a meal group from your diet, your body instantly begins to crave it. The exercise part with come around with dedication in the gym. I also recomend drinking as much water as you can possibly consume (at least 50 ounces), and staying away from soda's (even diet), and if possible- caffeine. There are conflicting stories about caffeine right now, I would stick with the long time facts until enough studies have been completed.
