hi,
i'm trying to tone up the stomach but a bit of flab just won't go... can you help?

Hello:
Good that you are interested in becoming more healthy and fit! I am not sure if this is a
new goal for you or if it is a stage of your personal body shaping challenge. This
would be good to know since a "bit of flab" really ain't so bad, especially if you have lost many pounds
so far in
your weight loss journey.
Ok, that being said: For most of us,
First; exercise needs to take place each day. Something; a walk, weight session, cardio
workout, jog, yoga, ...etc.
Second; Your workouts should last about an hour. Unless you are very intense and workout over an hour,
performing cardio workouts and weights in one day, you should take 1-2 days completely off each week.
Third; If you have been working out regularly for sometime and are at the stage that you want to loose from
your "trouble areas" to sculpt or shape the body, then try this. Perform your usual routines but now
Add 10 minutes to every workout. Use this 10 minutes to become more intense...run/walk a little faster;
push the weights a little harder with a couple extra sets/reps; take a hill, crank the resistance or add a weight.
I wish it was as easy as "do some crunches and stop snacking with potato chips". Though that would help too, there
is no way to spot reduce your trouble areas but to work the whole body and increase the amount of cardio workouts.
That's it for this time,
