fat deposited on my lower back .
Hi,
I can't seem to get rid of the fat deposited on my lower back just behind my hip bones. No exercises I can think of seem to target this area. What do you recommend as the best way to get rid of it?
brandy
Hello Brandy:
Everyone has a "trouble spot" and some have trouble "spots" which are genetically determined. These are body parts that store your excess
fat and show it the most. Your area of concern is usually combined with "love handles", fatty tissue built
up on the sides of the stomach, just above the hip bone.
Targeting our Trouble Spots
It makes perfect sense and is very common for people to pick out their specific area of concern and target exercises to remove fat. Unfortunately,
it doesn't really work that way.
In this case, your lower back area is where your body is choosing to store its energy reserves. To remove this build-up, you must turn this
storage of fat into energy that is used by the body. This is easiest accomplished by increasing your cardiovascular workouts in frequency, duration
& intensity.
Those who successfully remove the fatty tissue through exercise often have found several ways to become more active. You must
choose activities that you enjoy, are easily accessible and within your budget. If you find you meet new people, get out more & feel better,
you're just adding on to the experience.
That's it for this time,
